I find that outside of the initial leftist philosophy, I tend to focus on race and gender identities in my activism. As such, you can probably imagine my disappointment in the lack of activity on this specific board. I don't think anyone is to blame for that and its totally understandable that blackbloc tactics and philosophical ideologies will garner more discussion, but I hope we can try to change that.
That said, do you think that gender identity will play a significant role in the coming revolution? If so, in what capacity? If not, why not?

Both race and gender identity will play very important roles throughout the revolutionary phase, till communism is established worldwide.
The question of racism is inseparable from the ideological justification of the exploitation of colonies. Since the ongoing revolutions are centered in the neo-colonies and are aimed at national liberation as the first stage, racism will become a cover for capitalist countries attacking socialist ones in the future. Also, due to the communist support of gender identity and the LGBT liberation movement, homophobia will be effectively used by the ruling classes to ignite mass-hatred towards communism.

While I do agree with 99% of what you said, I tend to think that political ideology is becoming harder to use as a basis for war, and therefore using race as an excuse would be less likely (although I am probably wrong, as we have seen race as a basis for America's war in the middle east). I do however see classism as a cover for racism within a country, or vice versa.
I suspect that the class/race/gender oppression will actually insight the downfall of capitalism. Capitalism operates systemically on segregation, dehumanization and oppression. And the Occupy movement has made it quite apparent that the elite are a minority. With the disenfranchised demanding equal treatment, the capitalists have no choice but to either become more aggressive (which will cause us to fight back harder), or move aside (which will bring an end to capitalism).
I truly believe that the death of capitalism is inevitable and the revolution is much closer than we realise.
